MEDICS is an exciting, high-paced and raucous new half-hour sitcom pilot for Comedy Central, written by Mark Grimmer
(The Midnight Beast) and produced by Clerkenwell Films
(Misfits).
The show follows the trials and tribulations of a group of hapless medical students living and training together. They include: the lovable, inept & anxious Denham (Nick Hendrix - Call the Midwife, The White Queen, Inspector George Gently), the larger-than-life rugby player & party animal Minge (Daniel Ings - Pyschoville, Peep Show, Endeavour), the smart, witty & super-cool Caroline (Bekka Bowling - Bloody Lip, Switch, Donovan Slacks), the rather eccentric, naive & arguably insane Millie (Jessie Cave - Pramface, Wizards vs Aliens, Harry Potter) and the terrifying Dangerous Dave (who has possibly killed a man) (Kevin O'Laughlin - The Ginge, The Geordie & The Geek, Waterloo Road, Sirens).
We follow the gang as they try to keep their heads above water under the watchful eye of the stern, no-nonsense Professor Barber (Phil Davis (Whitechapel, Being Human, Silk)...
Also appearing in the show are: Jason Durr (Heartbeat, Lewis, New Tricks) as Denham's father and Nina Sosanya (Last Tango in Halifax, Vera, Silent Witness) as Dr Adeyemi, Professor Barber's colleague.
The show will record on Wednesday 4th December 2013 is BBC Elstree Studios, Borehamwood. If you would like to join us for a night of comedy, then apply now!
