THE WORLD AND ITS FUTURE with PROFESSOR HANS ROSLING
You are invited to apply to join us for a special one-off show by internationally acclaimed public speaker Professor Hans Rosling – one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world - on the evening of Wednesday 25th September in West London. The show will be filmed for broadcast later this year on BBC2.

In his famous talks, Hans Rosling paints a compelling and often surprising picture of the global trends that are shaping the world of today and tomorrow, using cutting-edge infographics that draw on data collected in every country in the world. Now this new show promises to be Prof. Rosling’s most ambitious and entertaining talk ever and will feature extraordinary new infographics.

A professor of public health at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm – where they appoint the Nobel Laureates for medicine – Hans Rosling has become renowned for his work dispelling common myths about the developing world. Usually found addressing international institutions and top policy-makers, in this show Prof Rosling is going to deliver a specially written one-off talk for the BBC. His subject will be the world trends today in population, health, money and energy – and what they can tell us about how the 21st century will unfold.

‘In Rosling's hands, data sings. Trends come to life. And the big picture — usually hazy at best — snaps into sharp focus.’ – TED.com
