Recorded in just 10 days, the album draws inspiration from Latin America, mythological creatures and ‘the families created by both blood and friendship’. Taking her into new musical territories, “Familia” incorporates elements of Chic-era disco, country and off-kilter pop, revealing a deeply layered and wonderfully cohesive album with stories to tell and characters to unpick.
