FAMILY
'FAMILY' WAS A TV SERIES LOOKING FOR ONE SPECIAL FAMILY BY ASKING:

• Are you part of a family with three or more children, aged between 5 and 21?

• Is one or more of the children in your family a teenager?

• Are you a very busy household with two parents still living at home (including step-parents)?

• Would you be interested in taking part in a unique, new Channel 4 series?

If so, we wanted to hear from you. Channel 4 was broadcasting a groundbreaking documentary series which aimed to capture what it really meant to be a modern family in Britain in 2007. Firefly, the production company making the programmes, was searching for one special family willing to take part and share their lives with them for around four months.

The series was exploring the ordinary and the extraordinary things that became part and parcel of family life, whether it was parental anxiety about getting children into the right school or how teenagers were coping on the tricky journey into adulthood. Firefly also wanted to be there for the important milestones in the family’s life; birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or a challenge the family would be facing together.

For one family this was be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: to capture an extraordinary four months of their lives on film.
