THE EXCHANGE - A SCREENING
THE EXCHANGE is a coming-of-age comedy that charts a true life episode from the childhood of writer Tim Long, who grew up in 1980s small-town Canada.

Tim (a self-described angry, nerdy, introverted teen) signs up to a student exchange program in the hope of importing a sophisticated French best friend who will share his love of French literature and films. Instead, he is sent a gold chain wearing, chain-smoking, Paris-born first generation immigrant called Stephane, who immediately is the most popular kid in town and definitely doesn’t share his love for Albert Camus. Stephane makes Tim’s life hell for six months - before they finally bond in the face of the small town’s emerging racism.

Directed by Oscar-nominated Dan Mazer (Borat, I give it A Year, Dirty Grandpa) and starring Ed Oxenbould (Wildlife, Alexander the Terrible), Avan Jogia (Shaft, Now Apocolyse, Victorious) and Justin Hartley (This Is Us), the story is told with humour but it is a heartfelt film about understanding and friendship.

The screening of the rough cut of the film will take place during the evening of Tuesday 30th July at the Prince Charles Cinema, Leicester Square, London.

If you would like to join us for a screening of the rough cut of the film, followed by a 10 minute Q&A session to find out what you thought of the film, then apply now!
