88 KEYS
88 Keys is a new sitcom starring the multi award-winning stand-up and composer and co-creator of Matilda Tim Minchin, from the producers of Spaced, Black Books, Rev and Friday Night Dinner.

Charlie (Tim Minchin) is a loudmouth cocktail pianist with grand ambitions. Amy is a walking failure about to have her first brush with responsibility. This pair of monstrous rampaging ego-morons have just one thing in common -- they both find themselves under the employ of The Carlton Arms Hotel. And when a rare fruit causes unseen complications, Charlie and Amy find their futures irrevocably entwined...

Sparks WILL fly. Cos this hotel ain't big enough for the both of them. (Although there is a lovely function room.)

Also starring as Haif the barman is BAFTA award-winning Kayvan Novak, who received Best Comedy Performance for Fonejacker.

Written by Jon Brown (Fresh Meat, Misfits), directed by Martin Dennis (Men Behaving Badly, Friday Night Dinner) and produced by Nira Park (Black Books, Spaced, Shaun of The Dead, Hot Fuzz).

Big Talk's Kenton Allen says: "Tim Minchin is without doubt one of the most multi-talented performers in the world and we are utterly delighted he's fallen in love with Jon Brown's rather brilliant script. 88 Keys is sort of the son-of-Black Books as it .... reunites Nira Park with director Martin Dennis and many of the dream team behind the success of Black Books. Fingers crossed, early days and all that, but we're all a bit excited about this one.'
